Create one approved source for product information

Identify where each field originates: product system, supplier file, pricing approval, image library or compliance record. Avoid allowing marketplaces and spreadsheets to become conflicting masters.

Use templates and validation rules

Define title structure, required attributes, description sections, units, image dimensions, category rules and prohibited wording. Validate high-impact fields before publication.

  • SKU and variant consistency
  • Price and tax-field approval
  • Category and attribute completeness
  • Image naming and quality standards
  • Marketplace-specific field mapping

Control changes and sample live listings

Record who requested, prepared and approved important updates. Sample live pages after publication because import success does not guarantee the information displays correctly.

Track listing errors, suppressed products, missing attributes and customer questions. These signals show where the catalogue process needs improvement.
